The SUSTAINABLE FASHION FORUM has defined it: "Sustainable fashion is the umbrella that encompasses the environmental, social and ethical production and consumption of clothing. The complete lifespan of a garment from its initial design to end-of-life options are considered in order for a garment to be considered sustainable." But for us, that's a common sense and means a lot more than doing a business in the right way - its about creating a better and happier life for all. We believe that healing is our responsibility to ensure that there is a good life for future generations and urge everyone to find ways how to live a sustainable lifestyle. Efforts to green this polluting industry require actions from both, businesses and consumers.
ROADMAP PLAN
1. Follow responsible production, merchandising and delivery techniques to successfully operate as a sustainable fashion company.
2. Make sustainable fashion and lifestyle products desirable and accessible to a growing amount of customers.
3. Create traceable and circular products to enhance transparency and circularity in the fashion industry.
TARGETS
1.1. Always design, manufacture and deliver products with sustainability in mind, considering the whole lifecycle of each product.
2.1. Develop sustainable products that customers need and can afford.
3.1. Help to build awareness and commit to transparency by ensuring openness about our production methods and supply chain, and maximising the use of safe circular materials.
TARGETS:
1.2. Take reasonable measures to ensure that every detail of a garment and jewellery item is responsibly and ethically made.
2.2. Launch and expand the range of our circular closet to maximise the lifespan, and make products more accessible to consumers with smaller purchasing power.
3.2. Make all products traceable and launch a take-back scheme to enhance circularity.
1.3. Start producing locally (for example for the UK customer, we produce in the UK) to minimise the ecological footprint and save resources from exporting products.
2.3. Expand the brand’s offering to attract a growing customer base. Invest in smart, effective marketing strategies to scale the business, build awareness through partnerships, and engage the community in making sustainable fashion desirable.
3.3. Accurately measure the impact of the business and become a certified sustainable fashion company.
1.4.1. Source certified (GOTS, ECOCERT, FWF) eco-friendly materials (organic cotton, organic silk, peace silk, recycled precious metals) and take reasonable measures to verify their authenticity. Use undyed materials or dyes that are healthy (Standard 100 by OECO-TEX).
1.4.2. Adopt responsible and ethical production techniques and communicate them transparently.
1.4.3. Produce on demand to minimise waste and conserve resources.
1.4.4. Use circular or eco-friendly packaging and marketing solutions, and choose carbon-neutral deliveries where possible.
1.4.5. Plant trees to offset the carbon footprint of products and the business as a whole.
2.4. Invest in digital marketing to boost growth and build awareness. Promote sustainability using social media and content marketing. Join sustainable fashion shows and fairs, and organise community events. Open a sustainable fashion and jewellery flagship boutique and rental in London.
3.4. Start using Green Story, the Higg Index, Planetly, or other solutions to accurately measure and showcase the environmental footprint of our products and company. Become a certified sustainable brand (B Corporation, GOTS, Positive Luxury, or another top standard) to validate the positive impact of our work.
